Problems facing the online gaming industry

The online gaming industry is zooming full speed ahead yet there are still some major hurdles along the way. The online gaming industry is adapting and growing all the time but most of the hurdles that are appearing are legal guidelines set by countries which are not always that easy to work around.

Countries can either take one of two views. One that they will legalise gambling as it brings in a large amount of revenue and if taxed correctly can benefit the country. Two, ban it stop the gamblers from playing and having fun and make no money from it, I know which view I would personally go for.

Many countries are taking a very liberal approach to the rapid growth of the online casino business with countries such as the UK encouraging it lifting gambling advertising bans and just keeping a close eye on it a good way to manage it. Other countries like this are Spain and Russia. The USA, Finland and Germany on the other hand are taking the other approach we hope not to many people join them but look upon it leniently. The USA we believe in a few years will legalise it and tax it a good solution to the problem they view it as.

Due to different countries views on online gambling sites, sites have to be based offshore all over the world. Laws are changing, countries that originally allowed online gambling are not, and therefore a lot of reshuffling has been going on. Countries are coming down on certain casino operators as if they were hardened criminals when in fact they are businessmen that have become caught up in a complicated legal system. Online casinos that have taken 50c from a player in a banned country have been shut down and dealt with as if criminals. Hopefully these harsh strong views will calm down.
