Hi Lo is a popular casino and online casino game that was first seen on April 9 1973 in America on the American television game show "The price is right." The game was played for a prize of $2500-$10,000 and was played using grocery items.
The modern online casino game uses the same concept as the original game where the player is dealt a card and given the option to to say higher or lower for the next card dealt. The player stakes on the first card and is then paid out if he is correct on his higher or lower judgement proportionally to the difficulty of the card dealt. E.g if the card dealt is a 2 there are much more cards higher than there are lower so picking higher is not that difficult decision. Yet if he was to pick lower and its an ace there will be a high pay out as this is a very unlikely card to be dealt.
In the original TV game the contestant is shown six grocery items and is then asked to select which three they think are the three highest priced items, then these prices are revealed. If there choice is correct they win.
