Teddy Sagi founded Playtech in 1999 and in 2006 floated the company on the London Stock Exchange under the symbol PTEC for approximately $550 million 257p a share. Playtech now employs over 700 staff and the CEO is MOr Weizer.

In October 2008 Playtech announced it was requiring private assets from Teddy Sagi for $245 million, this was the second release of money Teddy Sagi had from the company taking his total withdrawal to $540 million, Teddi still controls 41% of Playtech through his investment company Brikington. Teddy Sagi is now in the top 30 richest men in Israel at only 34 years old according to Forbes Magazine.
