Chinese online gaming tycoon considers Liverpool FC buyout

Zhu Jun the chairman of Shanghai based casino online company The9 Ltd is interested in buying Liverpool FC according to the media in China. Zhu Jun is not new to investing in football clubs, Zhu has a large share of a Chinese super league outfit Shanghai Shenhua. Liverpool FC’s current owners Tom Hicks and George Gillett are asking for £800 million for the club which has put a lot of buyers off as the club is not doing particularly well at the moment. Zhu Jun is not the only person interested in the club at the moment, a few wealthy Liverpool fans are interested in purchasing the club alongside Yahya Kirdi a syrian international footballer and consortiums from Dubai.
