Steve Wynn plans a casino for Philadelphia

Casino tycoon Steve Wynn is planning to build another casino, this time for Philadelphia entertainment and development partners in Pennsylvania.  Pennsylvania approved table games to go along side its slot machines, now Pennsylvania is turning more slots gambling revenue than Atlantic city, the perfect location for the new Wynn casino.  In the 1990’s Wynn fought a losing battle against the Pequots to build a connecticut casino, the Pequots won and opened Foxwoods.  15 years later Wynn is better positioned to make this casino a huge success.

Wynn’s high roller casino in Macau

Steve Wynn is building a 600 hotel room 205,000 square foot high roller casino in Macau designed to scoop up the Asian high rollers.  Despite the global recession which is causing havoc for other casino billionaires such as Sheldon Adelson who may loose the Las Vegas Sands, Wynn is standing strong and it would not be surprising if Wynn came out of this global recession far wealthier than everyone else in the casino industry.

Steve Wynn and the large Diamond plum

Casino bosses are competing with each other over who has the biggest diamond.  Stanley Ho purchased a huge 218 carat diamond currently on display in one of his Macau casinos only to be beaten by Steve Wynn who purchased  a 231 carat plum diamond.  The diamond owned by Mr Ho is the largest in the world of its type, a cushion diamond and is nicknames “The star of Stanley.”  Wynn’s diamond is going to be displayed in one of his new casinos currently being developed in Las Vegas.
