Singapore’s first casino set to open

The new Singapore casino is set to open on Wednesday.  The new casino has been opened to ensure the country doesn’t rely solely on manufacturing but also takes revenue through other streams such as this casino.  The new casino cost $5b to make and will have 4 hotels with 1340 rooms.  One of the hotels of the casino will be a Hard Rock hotel.  A universal studios theme park is set to also open on the 49 hectare complex.  The new casino should create 35,000 jobs and the opening of casinos should push GDP for Singapore up by 1 percentage point.
