Combine online gambling and giving to charity

Online gambling can be combined with giving to charity thanks to the american express red card.  The american express red card gives a percentage of your annual spend on your amex red to helping treat HIV in third world countries.  When your next gambling online why not use your american express red card this will give that little back to people who need it whilst your gambling online.  It will not cost you anymore than any other card the money comes out of american expresses pocket.  More you spend on your amex the more that is given back to charity.  This card works like any other card that gives you cashback for example the more you spend the more amex will give to an HIV charity.

Online gambling is still flourishing despite fears of recession

With a recession lurking over our heads it is surprising online gambling is still flourishing.  Online gamblers are gambling as big as ever and high rollers in the city sector are still throwing down the big bets on the online blackjack and online roulette tables.  This is happening both in the UK and the USA despite the ban on online gambling in the USA.

888 has just received its Q2 results and is delighted in finding out that they currently have 214,725 active players and profits are up the second quarter.  Customer numbers are still rising daily for the second largest online gambling company in the world.  Whether the recession will bring around a sharp decrease in profits only time will tell.

Online gambling legalized in South Africa

Online gambling has been legalized in South Africa by Thabo Mbeki.  Although the word has been given the law has not yet come in to place and when we do not know.  This will be a big step for South Africa and comes due to a fresh approach to monitor problem gambling and help those with problems rather than ban the whole business like they did in the USA, which has not proven a good idea.

Help the environment by playing online casinos

Yes thats right we are promoting gambling online through the belief that online gambling helps the environment.  Thats right, a Professor has worked out that Las vegas Casinos create a bad effect on the environment through the amount of electricity they use, this shouldn’t really take a genius to work out?  He mentioned therefore that gambling online is a great way to reduce your carbon footprint.  So if your thinking of flying to vegas (pollution) and then going to land casinos (mass energy users) consider staying at home and gambling online (reduced carbon foot print.)

Online gambling study shows more aggressive gamblers at online casinos

An online study recently done on online gambling and commented recently on by Reuters mentioned that online gamblers are more aggressive gamblers and gamble in higher amounts to land casinos.  The reason the gambling appears more aggressive online is that in the comfort of their own home people feel more comfortable making these types of gambles.  Also alot more people treat online gambling like a way to make money when at home but in a casino its just a night out.

Gambling habits of Mr Obama

Time magazine published an article on the gambling habits of John Mcain and Barack Obama a very interesting article as many believe their gambling habits is significant to the risks they may take when governing the country.  Mccain was considered more of a gambling high roller and Obama a calculating more careful man.  Mccain is a high roller craps player where as Obama a calculating poker player, which one would you rather in charge?

Is online gambling shady?

Alot of people still reckon online gambling is shady and unlike land casinos if they hit a big jackpot they wont be paid.  We have spoken about this once before on our site but are interested to see what people have to say.  The majority of people we have spoken to still don’t trust online gambling even after I have reassured them it is heavily monitored by gambling authorities.  One guy told us that when he came close to winning a jackpot the game froze and his winning cycle had disappeared when asking him what casino this was he said he could not remember.  Another player told us that he refused to gamble online having been a blackjack player in land casinos for over a decade as online he said he couldn’t properly see the dealer so didn’t trust it.  Some people thought it was a complete scam and would never go near it.  People believed the online casinos were set to guarantee you would lose.  If you think about this logically they don’t want you to lose outright as you would never come back and they want you to keep playing.  Casinos like to have big winners as that promotes other gamblers to come along and try their luck.  In Vegas when someone wins a jackpot sirens go off and coins come pouring out altogether the winning is very loud and encourages other players to play when they hear this and see players winning, they don’t have loud noises coming out the machines when people lose alot of money do they.  Email your views or please comment here so we can hear what people still think of online gambling.

The future of online gambling is virtual reality

The future of online gambling is online gambling virtual reality.  PKR.com have taken the game to the next level allowing you to enter a world like second life and play against poker players around the table in 3d.  The next step will be complete streaming video where via web cam you can play against other players around the table.  According to some of the worlds top gaming software developers they hope to have online gambling in the next few years to a level where by you can enter a virtual reality world with a head set and play online poker with your own set of cards as if you were actually at the table.  They have been talking about these virtual reality worlds since the beginning of the net but virtual reality seem to still not have taken off as fast as people initially thought.  We all though we would all be living lives like the film demolition man portrayed but unfortunately or maybe fortunately we are not.

No pop ups policy

As a casino guide you would expect us to be covered in banners everywhere we like to limit the number of banners to make the site enjoyable for you.  Gone are the days of the spank the monkey popping up all over the screen.  I remember 5 years ago when searching for online gambling all you saw was that bloody spank the monkey or swat the fly everywhere.  That company behind spank the monkey has actually now become a huge grossing business but I am glad you don’t see too many of those floating banners anymore.
