Premier Exhibitions, Inc., one of the largest providers of museum quality touring exhibitions throughout the world, recently opened ‘Titanic: The Artefact Exhibition’ at the Luxor Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, NV. Exclusively redesigned for the Luxor, the aim of this blockbuster exhibition is to tell the story of the doomed ship and its first and only voyage via a truly interactive experience which includes the use of genuine artefacts and impressive room re-creations. Visitors will get the feel for this historical event in chronological order as they move through the Exhibition galleries; from the shipyards to setting off on her maiden voyage, to the sinking itself, and modern-day recovery attempts. The Exhibition at Luxor is in the unique position to showcase over twenty never-before-seen artefacts including sections of the famous Grand Staircase, passenger’s personal effects and even gaming chips! The real coup is the showcasing of the ‘Big Piece’ – the largest complete section of the Titanic ever recovered - a 15-ton section of the starboard hull, raised 12,500 feet from the ocean floor. The 30-storey Luxor is itself one of the wonders of the Las Vegas Strip, this collaboration with Premier Exhibitions is part of a multi-phase enhancement plan to re-energise this iconic resort.
