Poland to possibly ban online casinos

Poland is trying to take a stand against corruption by possibly banning online casinos, a real shame in a country where online gambling is so popular.  Prime Minister Donald Tusk wants to ban online gambling and raise taxes on land casinos in Poland.  Four members of the government trying to keep taxes at their current level have been kicked out.  Tusk has been trying to place the blame for the ills of his party on gambling. Three quarters of the Polish population say the government is full of corruption.

Dmitry Medvedev the Russian president gets tougher on gambling

Dmitry Medvedev told federal tax service chief Mikhail Mokretsov that he would not put up with any delays in moving all gambling operations to specific regional zones in two months.  “It is imperative that these rules go into effect in due time. There will be no revisions, no pushing back despite the lobbying efforts of various businesses,” Medvedev commented at the meeting at his Gorki residence.  Medvedev said that it is no secret that gambling pays large taxes and kickbacks so bureaucrats are interested in leaving it in Moscow.  “If the lobby wins in delaying the deadline, it will essentially mean that the state’s word means nothing, so it’s important for Medvedev, who is trying to show he is a serious politician,” said Dmitry Oreshkin an analyst with the Mercator think tank.

Mobile phone gambling is the future of gambling

When mobile phones were first around all they were used for was to communicate from one person to another, now they are used for all kinds of things.  We predict mobile phones will be the future of gambling industry with more and more people playing at online casinos on their mobile phones.  On mobile phones you can now deposit and withdraw from your player account easily.  Mobile phone gambling will allow people to play on their phones whilst on the train home from work or on their lunch break.  Mobile phone technology is not yet up to the technology where the game play experienced on phones rivals that on computers, but I don’t think it will be long till it gets up to a really good standard.  Once streaming of games gets faster and downloads become quicker gambling on phones will take off.  When movie streaming sites first came out they were popular but due to slow streaming they never took off until today with sites such as Youtube having huge internet market presence and growing more popular daily.  Not until phone gambling becomes the Youtube of gambling will it take off.  When online gambling takes off on phones I bet you will see constant text alerts of the latest progressive slots jackpots and texts with codes you can enter into your phone to retrieve great casino bonuses, only time will tell.

Reason for more female gamblers

Reports have shown that the reason for the rise in female gamblers online is due to couples gambling online together alot more.  Men have invited their partners to gamble more online with them and as well as them both gambling together the wife has gone off and gambled online herself therefore the rise.  Women gamblers are very common and may gambling businesses online forget this and this should always be remembered.  Sites should be designed to cater for females as much as they do males.  Females for one do not want to see big breasted short skirt wearing women all over the site.  Some casino sites now have male hunks for the women.

Tasmania combat problem gambling

Tasmania are combatting online gambling by having an awareness week, where on day a year with the use of advertising such as posters and cards they are promoting balanced gambling.  It was launched in Hobart today and the gambling support program commented today that by watching closely they are able to distinguish those who are having problems with online gambling.  This is a great idea and they hope it spreads globally which I am sure it will do with a rise in more and more people getting gambling problems due to the easy access of gambling online.  The internet although great for us responsible online gamblers can be a serious problem for problem gamblers as can the easy access to pornographic material be for those with sex and porn addictions.  Like anything in life pleasures in life like gambling have to be balanced as most things to excess cause damage aspecialy when gambling is concerned.
