Smoking ban suspended in Atlantic City

The smoking ban which has killed hundreds of gambling related businesses in the UK such as bingo halls is also a big problem in Atlantic City.  Donald Trump last year tried very hard to get it over turned as he knew it would be very damaging to his business but failed.  The smoking ban would have seen a huge drop in gamblers but now it has been put back for a year.  Postponing this ban for another year will certianly help the gambling operators during this time of recession but in a year this ban is set to be brought in.  Currently in the UK online bingo is flourishing due to the ban on smoking making land bingo operators businesses very hard to run what the effects on Atlantic city will be like I wouldnt have thought to be this extreme due to the diversity of casino games and the varied style of punter from one off gamblers to big time high rollers.  In London the Mecca Kilburn state Bingo hall a world famous music venue before pictured below was shut down due to a huge loss in business because of the smoking ban.  We spoke to regulars of this establishment and they commented that they had turned to gambling online when they found out they couldn’t smoke anymore, they felt that they wouldnt really want to drink alcohol there and socialise as it goes hand in hand with smoking for them they said.
