David Carruthers faces up to 33 months in prison

David Carruthers the CEO of Betonsports was arrested when passing through Dallas airport in Texas.  The arrest came before the passing of the UIGEA.  David Carruthers agreed to plead guilty for more lenient sentencing.  From pleading guilty Carruthers avoids up to 20 years in prison but will have to serve up to possibly 33 months and pay pack $16 million of company money and pay a $250,000 personal fine.  Carruthers will also assist on the prosecution of the other betonsports officials such as Gary Kaplan who are up on trial in September this year.
