Online casinos may become less restricted in Italy

Taking a note out of Spains book, Italy is going to become more relaxed on online gambling.  Italians anticipate changes in the online gambling policy by the end of the year which is very soon.  This change in approach to online gambling has come about because of the negative hit the economy has had due to the recession and the serious natural disaster suffered earlier in the year.  Taxing online gambling will certainly allow the country to take in more money.  Although things are looking bright in the future of online gambling in Italy it may still be slow going through the AAMS most likely poker will be the first to see laws relaxed and then following casino games but it is not certain how soon this will all happen but still looks promising.

Making online gambling more easily accessible to Italians may also be good for Silvio Berlosconi, Italy’s prime minister, whom is constantly in and out of the papers at the moment over sex scandals, Berlusconi could do with having some weight taken off his shoulders and this would certainly help him in becoming more favored again by Italians if they could gamble more freely.
