London starts pilot scheme to offer free treatment to casino gamblers

Problem gamblers are to be offered free treatment by the british government, due to a growing rise in problem gamblers.  10 million pounds is to be provided from the gaming industry a year and a new soho problem gambling clinic is to be opened up.  This should lead to more being opened in the close future they say, but at the same time 16 new large gambling sites are being opened up.

This should be great help to problem gamblers and we are strongly behind it.  More needs to be done to educate people on the affects of gambling on the brain and how to tell if they have a gambling problem.  Education has certainly increased in the last couple of years but needs to be enforced more strongly.
