Leonardo Dicaprio to star in online casino movie

Leonardo Dicaprio is set to star in a Hollywood movie based around online casinos in Costa Rica.  Unfortunately, Costa Rica is known for some shady online casino goings on, and there is certainly plenty of underground shady online casinos based there so there is not much guessing which angle this film is going to take and what view of the online casino business this is going to give.

The director of the movie is Brian Koppelman who directed “Oceans Thirteen” and “Rounders” so this film certainly has the makings of a good movie lets just hope its doesn’t present a  too far fetched view of the online casino industry.

Whether or not the film will be a success is down to the director and the actors, the film “Deal” that recently came out made only $36,000 in its opening weekend.  Yet the film “21″ released last year starring Kevin Spacey was a huge hit.  Big names in gambling films tend to get the viewers in otherwise the plot better be good otherwise the viewers won’t want to know.  Leonardo Dicaprio is certainly a Hollywood A-lister that could really make a film like this a big hit.  I personally look forward to seeing it and hope it captures the online casino industry in not too far fetched a way.
