Other than casinos in Macau horse racing is a very popular form of gambling entertainment. The Macau jockey club is the place for horse racing, this happens mainly Tuesdays, Saturdays and Sundays. The race course is on the Taipa Island of Macau. The race course is 450,000 square metres and has 18,000 seats for gamblers. The Macau jockey club was previously known as Macau Trotting Club. In 1991 Stanley Ho took it over, it is now one of the largest private employers in Macau, it has 1400 full time staff and 1100 part time staff. Related articles-
