David Carruthers going to jail

David Carruthers of Betonsports was indicted in 2006 and accused of accepting bets from US punters online, he was sentenced to 33 months in jail.  Carruthers has spent 3 years and 5 months under house arrest, 32 days in jail and will serve 33 months extra following his sentence.  Carruthers has given away $43m to the US government and the company Betonsports was fined $28m.  Gary Kaplan the founder of betonsports is doing 51 months in jail starting November.
