Check a casino guides domain age?

Why??? Thats what your thinking.  Why do I need to check the domain age of casino guides I am not a webmaster, I will explain the reason.  Online casino guides you need to trust and alot of them to gain your trust say something next to the title like established 1998.  Alot of these are made up date and some of these sites are only 2 months old.  Run a whois on the site this will tell you the real domain age as that is important.  Although this is not 100% perfect as someone could have just banged up a site over night on a 8 year old domain they purchased the day before it still gives you a better idea of the site you are dealing with.

No pop ups policy

As a casino guide you would expect us to be covered in banners everywhere we like to limit the number of banners to make the site enjoyable for you.  Gone are the days of the spank the monkey popping up all over the screen.  I remember 5 years ago when searching for online gambling all you saw was that bloody spank the monkey or swat the fly everywhere.  That company behind spank the monkey has actually now become a huge grossing business but I am glad you don’t see too many of those floating banners anymore.

What to look for when picking a casino review site

  1. Often websites that rank high in Google listings are just one or two pages of lists of top 10 casinos.  Usually these are websites made by people with no background reference of the casino industry accept that they have great SEO skills.
  2. Look for contact us details and see if there is a telephone number or email.  Often site owners don’t have contact details, as they don’t want you to get in contact with them thee guys you want to keep away from.
  3. Writers details and bios are important as this allows you to understand about the past experience and knowledge of the industry so you can make sure its not someone with no knowledge of the gaming industry directing you.  Look for sites with ex pro poker players etc these guys will give you the best info.
  4. Google the site domain see what other people have said about this site often when you Google certain casino review sites they bring up blacklisted references and these sites you want to keep away from.
  5. Banner farms- these are sites with all banners and no info this is normally obvious as you wouldn’t really take banner farm sites choices of what casino to play at very seriously.
  6. Site domain age, old established sites have been around for awhile and give more experienced knowledge often new sites are put up quickly with little experience they may point you in the wrong direction as they have not got the experience older sites have.

Should casino players use casino affiliate forums?
