This week online gambling is a major topic in Singapore. The question is not if it should be legal but rather if it should be illegal. The restriction would cause for all of the citizens in Singapore to be banned from online gambling permanently. Lawmakers in Singapore have been successful in bringing the potential new law to the courts. The decision is in their favor and online gambling is more than likely to become illegal in Singapore.
Iswaran, leader of illegal activities and syndicated law enforcement commented on the future law saying, “Online gambling can become a major source of a gambling addiction, can lead to millions of people losing all of their funds, families being torn apart and so much more. This is why we want online gambling to be illegal in Singapore.”
“We plan to pursue the law if it does not go in our favor but we do suspect that our citizens respect our decision on the new laws as they have seen the effects of what online gambling can do”. As it currently stands there are only two legal online casinos in Singapore.
